In an effort to improve security, IT will upgrade campus internet routers used for internet, email, phone service, and Wi-Fi. During the upgrade, users could experience one to two internet connectivity interruptions lasting 30 seconds or less. ECDC will lose network connectivity for 30 minutes during the upgrade.

Network Thursday, October 17, 2019,10:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2019, 2:00 AM IT will upgrade networking equipment on the 1st floor of Bay Hall. Users will experience a network outage lasting 2-4 hours while equipment is being replaced.

Network - 3rd Floor Engineering Bldg. Thursday, October 10, 2019,10:00 PM Thursday, October 11, 2019, 2:00 AM IT will be replacing 3rd-floor Engineering Building network equipment with new equipment. The 3rd floor will experience a network outage lasting two to four hours during the time of upgrade.
Blackboard Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 7:00 PM IT will update Blackboard. Users will not be impacted by the update.
Outlook Tuesday, October 2, 2019, 9:00PM Tuesday, October 2, 2019, 9:30PM The department of Information Technology will be deploying two Outlook add-ins, Message Header Analyzer (MHA) and Report Message, to all desktop Outlook clients. Users will see a new button for each add-in within Outlook.  The Message Header Analyzer (MHA) helps users quickly access the message headers of an email in a readable form. The Report Message add-in works with Outlook to allow users to report suspicious messages to Microsoft, and also allows users to manage how their Office 365 email account handles these messages.

Telephones Thursday, September 20, 2019, 6:00PM Thursday, September 20, 2019, 8:00PM To increase security, Telecommunications will be updating the telephone system.  Users may notice that their phone re-registers.

MS Office 365 Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, 7:30AM Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, 7:45AM In efforts to enhance our security, Information Technology (IT) will be enabling an option within Microsoft Office 365’s SharePoint and OneDrive, which will require authentication for external (anonymous) links.

Saturday, June 15, 2019 1:00AM Maintenance will be performed on the TAMUCC network router during the early morning. The overall time will be approximately 1 hour. The campus will experience a loss of connectivity to the internet as well as to the Disaster Recovery site.

January 3rd, 2019, 10:00PM Systems Administration will be renewing SSL certificates on our rdgateway servers, which are involved with authentication for the Islander_Student wireless network on campus.  After maintenance is completed, users connecting to the Islander Student wireless network on campus might be prompted to accept the new certificate.
